Mis Pies Están En Miami

Handspun, finally done! :D It took me about a million months to get these done, but I've finally finished a pair of socks again! Woohoo! This is a handspun yarn, made from Squoosh Fiberarts' SW Merino in the "Crazy Tops 01" colorway, shown below.

I spun this into 364 yds. of two-ply fingering weight yummy yarn.

The socks were knit on size US 1 1/2 Addi Turbo Lace 40" circulars (one at a time). I do a provisional crochet cast-on with a short-row toe, basic stockinette foot, short-row heel, then knit for about 1/2" before starting a 3x1 rib for the cuff. The cuffs are about 6" long, finished with a decrease bind off. Finish, wear, and have fun! ;)

I love these socks, particularly hwo you were able to keep the stripes all approximately equal. Wonderful spinning, wonderful knitting.

Why, thank you Dave. :) Of course, I'd love to pretend that the size of the stripes was at all intentional. ;) It was a super fun fiber to spin with, fun to see what colors went where. Although, I was quite surprised to see just how much green there was - it was in every single colorway combination!

Thank you so much, Jeanne. Handspun socks do seriously rock. I'm finally making some for my husband. He's always fond of handknit but has yet to own a pair of handspun handknit. He's excited (and growing a little impatient). :)

Pat, I'm so excited that you just started spinning. Congratulations on a wonderful new adventure! I hate to tell you, but it is really quite addictive. You may never be able to stop. ;)
